Update an email template
Update saved templates when your client wording, subject line or placeholder use needs to change.
When to review a template
Review templates when your quoting process changes, your team starts using a new client message, invoice wording needs an adjustment or a placeholder should be added for clearer record details.
Editing a saved template
- Open Email Templates.
- Find the template in Saved templates.
- Open the action menu and choose Edit.
- Update the template name, use type, subject line or message body.
- Check the placeholder list for the selected template use.
- Save the template changes.
Review before sending
After updating a template, open the relevant quote, project or invoice send modal and check how the template reads with real record details. This helps catch wording that made sense as a template but reads awkwardly in a client email.
