Invoicing, Payments, Progress Claims and Accounting Sync
Create an invoice
Create an invoice when a project needs a draft invoice record for a customer balance, progress amount or other billable project charge.
Before creating the invoice
Choose the correct active project and confirm the amount you want to invoice. If your business uses staged billing, check whether the payment schedule should issue the claim instead of creating a separate manual invoice.
- Confirm the project name and customer details are current.
- Check whether a due date is required for the billing stage.
- Use an amount that matches the project record or claim you intend to bill.
Creating the draft invoice
- Open Invoicing.
- Choose the project for the invoice.
- Enter the invoice amount.
- Add a due date when the payment needs a clear deadline.
- Create the invoice and review the new draft record in the invoicing list.
What Fencify records
Fencify creates the invoice with an invoice number, project link, amount, draft status, customer name, customer email, customer address and due date when supplied. If accounting sync is connected, the invoice can be queued for supported provider sync.
Checks before sending
Open the invoice for review before sending it to a customer. Check the project, amount, balance due, due date, customer email and any invoice notes that will appear on the PDF.
