Complete lead survey details
Capture site conditions in the lead survey so pricing inputs, labour surcharges, and estimator notes stay accurate before you build the quote.
Leads and Website Lead Intake
Complete lead survey details
Use the Site Survey tab on a lead to capture condition details that affect labour and pricing before your team moves into quote calculations.
When to complete the survey
Complete the survey once the lead has enough site detail to start estimating. This gives your team a shared record of conditions that can affect labour effort, surcharge lines, and total quote value.
- Fill it in after the first detailed customer conversation or site visit booking.
- Update it whenever access, ground, or removal scope changes.
- Review it again before sending the final quote.
Capture existing fence and removal scope
Start with the Existing Conditions card so the lead reflects what is already on site and what work must be removed.
- Existing Fence Type: choose the closest match from your available fence type list.
- Height (m): enter the current fence height where it impacts replacement planning.
- Removal and Disposal Required: tick this when old fencing needs removal so removal surcharge rules can be applied where configured.
Record ground and access conditions that affect labour rates
Use the Ground and Access section to describe site difficulty in practical terms. These selections are used when labour surcharge keys are matched during quote item generation.
- Choose Ground Conditions as Standard, Clay, or Rock.
- Set Slope or Level to Level, Mild Slope, or Steep Slope.
- Set Site Access to Standard, Tight, Through House, or Stairs Involved.
- In Additional Surcharges, tick any custom labour rate conditions that apply to this site.
Save survey details on the lead record
- Open the lead and go to the Site Survey tab.
- Complete Existing Conditions, Ground and Access, and Additional Surcharges.
- Add clear estimator notes for any site specifics that need follow up.
- Click Save Survey to store the survey details in the lead record.
Keep notes specific so any estimator or admin user can understand the site constraints without rechecking the same details.
Checks before you move into quoting
Run a quick review so your survey inputs flow cleanly into quoting decisions.
- Reopen the Site Survey tab and confirm all selected conditions are still current.
- Confirm lead details such as address and visit timing are up to date for site planning.
- In Quote Builder, confirm labour line items reflect the survey based conditions and selected surcharge options.
