Fencify
Onboarding and Configuration

Manage business profile details

Set the name and business contact details Fencify uses as your trading identity on client-facing documents.

What this is for

This part of Configuration sets the business identity clients see when you send quotes and invoices. It covers your name, business or trading name, ABN or ACN, business address, suburb or city, state or territory, postcode, phone number, and optional billing notes.

Use it to keep your account setup accurate and consistent. It is not for customer site addresses, project contacts, payment schedules, or invoice payment records.

Before you start

Have your preferred contact name, trading name, ABN or ACN, business address, postcode, and main business phone number ready. If you want to add a note to your account billing profile, have that wording ready as well.

How to use it

  1. Open Configuration and go to the Business setup step.
  2. Enter Your name. This field is required and is used inside your account and in client-facing defaults.
  3. In Business details, enter your Business / trading name and ABN / ACN.
  4. Complete the address details for your business. Add the street address, suburb or city, choose the correct Australian state or territory, and enter the postcode.
  5. Check the country field stays on Australia, then add your Business phone.
  6. Add Billing notes only if you want extra notes saved with your account billing profile.
  7. Review the preview panel to confirm the contact name, trading name, ABN or ACN, and location look right for client-facing use.
  8. Wait for the live save to finish as you edit. If you are still working through setup, continue to the next setup step. If your setup is complete, finish the review step when you are ready.

What happens next

Your details are saved to your account profile and used as the trading identity clients see on quotes and invoices. The business step is treated as complete once the required name and business details are saved without errors, and you can return later to update them whenever your business details change.

Tips

  • Use the trading name your customers already recognise so your quote and invoice branding stays clear.
  • Keep your personal name current if you want quotes and invoices to show the right day-to-day contact.
  • Choose a valid Australian state or territory from the list rather than typing a custom value.
  • Keep billing notes brief and relevant to your account profile. Do not use them for project-specific instructions.
  • This area is separate from bank details, GST, invoice terms, and other payment defaults managed in later setup steps.
