Save mapping template
Save a mapping template when you expect to import the same CSV export layout again.
When a template is useful
A mapping template is useful for repeat exports from the same platform or spreadsheet format. It keeps the source platform, import type, header layout and reviewed field mapping together so the next matching upload can start with the same choices.
Templates are especially helpful for regular lead exports, supplier price lists, inventory updates, invoice exports or payment files that use consistent column headings.
Saving during mapping
- Upload the CSV and review the mapping table.
- Confirm each source header is mapped, preserved as metadata or skipped.
- Tick Save this mapping as a reusable template.
- Enter a template name that your team will recognise later.
- Submit Save Mapping and Preview.
How Fencify reuses it
When a later upload has the same source system, import type and header layout, Fencify can apply the saved template to seed the selected mapping. The mapping screen still opens for review so your team can confirm the file has not changed before previewing row outcomes.
Template naming checks
- Use names that include the source and record type, such as Tradify leads or Xero invoice export.
- Update the saved mapping when the export columns change.
- Keep separate templates for different import types, even when the source platform is the same.
