Review Stripe Connect settings

Use Stripe Connect settings to confirm online card payment readiness before your team sends quotes, proposals, or invoices that include card payment options.

Where Stripe settings fit in your payment setup

Stripe Connect sits in the Payments step of Configuration, alongside your bank transfer details. This gives your team one place to review both transfer and card payment setup before client documents are sent.

When Stripe is connected, your account can use card processing across customer payment flows that support online payment collection.

Check Stripe status in Configuration

Open Configuration and go to Step 3: Payments. In the Online payments card, the status badge shows the current Stripe state for your account.

  • Ready appears when Stripe is connected.
  • Stripe Account Active shows the connected account ID in the same card.
  • Optional appears when a connection has not been completed yet.

Use this card as your first check before relying on card payment collection for upcoming jobs.

Connect Stripe and confirm account readiness

  1. In the Online payments card, select Connect Stripe.
  2. Complete the Stripe connection flow for your business account.
  3. Return to Configuration and confirm the card shows Stripe Account Active.
  4. Review the displayed account ID so your admin and bookkeeping team can confirm the expected account is linked.

If you need to change the linked account, use Disconnect from the same card, then reconnect the correct account.

Use Integrations Hub for quick status review

Open Integrations to review the Stripe tile. A connected account shows a Connected state and a Manage Settings action that returns you to Configuration.

This page is useful for regular checks, especially when your office team also monitors Xero or QuickBooks connections in the same hub.

Routine checks before issuing payment requests

  • Confirm Stripe still shows as connected after any account-level payment changes.
  • Check payment wording on your quote or invoice documents aligns with your current setup.
  • Coordinate with your bookkeeper on periodic reviews so reconciliation and payment processing stay aligned.
  • Recheck Stripe status before sending a large batch of client payment requests.
