What affects the total

Generated material items, generated labour, attached gates and manual quote items all feed the quote value. Updating a fence run can rebuild the generated items. Updating a manual item changes its quantity, unit price and total price.

How Fencify recalculates

Fencify adds the total price of quote items to form the subtotal. When the account is GST registered, GST is calculated at 10 percent and added to the quote value. The quote record is then updated with the current total and GST amount.

If the quote is already linked to a project, the linked project contract value is refreshed from the updated quote value.

Actions that trigger a refresh

• Adding, updating or deleting a fence run.
• Adding or removing attached gate records.
• Adding, updating or deleting manual quote items.
• Rebuilding generated materials and labour from the current run data.

Checks before finishing

Review the bill of materials, GST amount and final quote total before sending the quote. For accepted or project-linked quotes, take extra care because changes may affect the commercial record your team is relying on.
