Import Wizard

Map import columns

Use mapping to tell Fencify which CSV headers should become lead, project, supplier, inventory, quote, invoice, payment or expense fields.

Reading the mapping table

The mapping table shows each source header from the CSV, a Fencify field selector and suggested matches. Suggestions are based on the selected source platform, known field aliases and the import type.

The confidence badge helps you judge how closely the file headers matched known fields. Review every row, especially low-confidence or blank suggestions.

Choosing the right destination field

Select the Fencify field that should receive each column value. Required fields are marked with an asterisk where the import type needs them before rows can be committed.

  • Choose Preserve as metadata for useful source details that should be kept with the import row or safe JSON metadata.
  • Choose Do not import for columns that should be ignored during the import.
  • Map financial fields only when your account access allows financial visibility.

Saving the mapping for preview

  1. Review each CSV header in the mapping table.
  2. Adjust any suggested match that does not suit the file.
  3. Use Preserve as metadata for extra notes, tags or source-specific values.
  4. Submit Save Mapping and Preview.

Fencify validates the selected fields before moving to preview. Duplicate use of fields that cannot repeat is flagged before row review.
