Before changing rates

Review the condition label, system key, current unit price and charge type. Price changes can affect future estimating assumptions, so confirm the rate matches your current labour and difficulty allowance.

For custom rates, use a stable system key because that key is saved when the rate is selected on lead survey details.

Updating an existing rate

1. Open Labour & Difficulty Rates.
2. Find the rate you want to adjust.
3. Update the unit price and choose the charge type.
4. Save the row using the save action.
5. Review the table to confirm the new amount and charge type are shown.

Adding or restoring rates

Use Add Custom Rate when you need a new surcharge. Enter the condition label, system key, unit price and charge type.

If default rates have been removed, open the Site Intelligence guide panel on the page and restore the missing default rate or restore all missing defaults.

Checks before quoting

Use per metre, per post and fixed fee consistently.

Review active lead survey surcharge selections after changing custom rate wording.

Delete rates only when your team no longer needs that surcharge available for quoting.
