When a manual item helps

Manual items are useful for one-off allowances, special access work, disposal, travel, additional labour, custom materials or anything that should be priced separately from the selected fence model recipe.

Each manual item has a name, quantity and unit price. Fencify multiplies quantity by unit price and adds the result to the quote total.

Adding the custom line

1. Open the quote in Quote Builder.
2. Open the manual item option in the Bill of Materials area.
3. Enter a clear item name that your team and customer can recognise.
4. Enter the quantity and unit price.
5. Save the item and review the updated bill of materials.

Manual item checks

• Use a specific name, such as Rock drilling allowance or Extra disposal.
• Keep quantities greater than zero.
• Check the unit price before saving.
• Review the quote total after the item is added.
