What to prepare before editing

Review your standard safety wording, site review process and the hazard rows your crew commonly needs. The default template includes project, site, business and date placeholders, a scope section and a risk controls table.

Updating the SWMS wording

1. Open Documents and select the Safe Work Method Statement template.
2. Review the template body and keep the project and site placeholders that should populate each PDF.
3. Keep the risk controls placeholder where the selected project hazards should appear.
4. Confirm the template is enabled for document generation.
5. Save the template before generating a project SWMS.

Before relying on a SWMS PDF

Generated SWMS content should be reviewed for the site, crew, equipment, conditions and project requirements before work starts. Update the hazard library and project hazard selection when the job conditions change.
