Use calendar updates when a site visit or installation needs to move and your account has permission to update calendar scheduling.

What changes when you move an event

Moving a site visit updates the visit date and time on the related lead. Moving an installation updates the install start date and, where an end date is supplied by the calendar action, the install end date on the related project.

Fencify keeps the calendar tied to the lead or project record, so schedule changes should be checked from the record after the move.

Move an event on the calendar

  1. Open Calendar and find the site visit or installation event.
  2. Drag the event to the new date or time.
  3. For multi-day installation blocks, resize the event if the finish date changes.
  4. Wait for the calendar to save the update.
  5. Open the lead or project to confirm the saved timing.

Checks after rescheduling

  • Confirm the new date matches the customer or crew agreement.
  • Check the related lead or project for notes that affect the appointment.
  • Update the customer or team communication using your normal business process.

When a move fails

If the calendar cannot save the change, it restores the event to its previous position and shows an alert. Reopen the lead or project and make the date change there if you need to continue scheduling.
