Send an invoice
Send an invoice when the billing details are ready and the customer needs the invoice link by email.
Before sending
Review the invoice amount, due date, balance due and customer email address. If the invoice should include payment instructions or notes, check those details before sending.
- Confirm the invoice belongs to the correct project.
- Confirm the customer email is valid.
- Open the PDF if you need to check the customer-facing version.
Sending the invoice email
- Open Invoicing and find the invoice.
- Use the send action for the invoice.
- Confirm or enter the customer email address.
- Send the invoice email.
After a successful send, Fencify stores the customer email on the invoice and marks the invoice as sent.
Template details used in the email
The invoice email can use placeholders for customer name, project name, invoice amount, balance due, invoice number, due date and the invoice link. This keeps the message specific to the selected invoice while using your saved invoice email wording.
After sending
Return to the invoicing list to check the invoice status. If the invoice later becomes overdue, the reminder action uses the due date, balance and available email address.
