Where Quote Builder fits

Quote Builder opens from a quote record and loads the linked lead, existing fence runs, bill of materials, fence models, suppliers, gate products and pricing rules. It is the working screen for estimating the quote before it is sent to the customer.

If a visual plan has been pushed into the quote, its runs and gates can appear here as structured quote content for review.

Inputs that shape the estimate

• Fence model: controls the product recipe used for generated items.
• Run length: drives posts, bays, metres and run-based components.
• Height, colour and supplier: help match the right product variants where configured.
• Gates: can be attached to a run and can reduce the fence length being priced.
• Lead survey details: can add configured labour surcharges.

Building the quote content

1. Add or update fence runs with measured lengths and model details.
2. Attach gates where the run includes gate openings.
3. Review generated material and labour items.
4. Add manual quote items for work or charges outside the model recipe.
5. Check the final quote total before returning to the quote detail page.

Reviewing the calculated outcome

Each run change rebuilds generated run items and updates the quote total. Manual items are included in the bill of materials and total value. GST is added when the account is marked as GST registered.
