Use the SWMS hazard library to maintain the activities, risks, control measures and responsible party labels available when generating project SWMS documents.
Reviewing hazard rows
The SWMS hazard library appears when editing the Safe Work Method Statement template. Each enabled row receives numbered merge fields, which lets the SWMS template print selected hazards in a predictable order.
Default rows can cover power tools, manual handling, excavation, outdoor work, working at heights and concrete or chemicals. You can update these rows and add custom hazards for your business.
Adding or updating a hazard
- Open the Safe Work Method Statement template.
- Scroll to the SWMS hazard library.
- Review the activity, risk, control measures, responsible label and order.
- Use the active switch to make a row available for project SWMS selection.
- Save each changed row, or add a new hazard from the add row section.
Using hazards on project SWMS forms
When generating a project SWMS, Fencify presents the enabled hazards as checkboxes. Select the hazards that apply to the project so the generated PDF includes the relevant risk control rows.
