Onboarding and Configuration
Manage custom lead fence types
Use the Services step in Configuration to keep your custom fence type list aligned with the work your team actually quotes and installs.
When to update your services list
Review this list when you add a new fencing service, stop offering a service, or rename a service so office and site teams use the same wording. A clean list gives your lead records clearer scope details from first contact.
It is also a useful review point before a busy quoting period, because fence type labels flow into lead details that your estimators and supervisors rely on during follow-up.
Check current service types first
In Configuration, open Step 4: Services offered. The list shows built-in service types and custom service types for your account.
- Built-in service types appear as system entries.
- Custom service types appear as editable entries.
- The preview panel shows total service types, global defaults, and custom types.
Use this quick check to confirm whether you need to add a new name, update an existing one, or tidy unused custom entries.
Adding, editing, and removing custom types
- Use Add custom service type and enter the fence type name your team uses in day-to-day quoting.
- To rename a custom type, open the service actions menu and choose Edit, then save the updated name.
- To remove a custom type, use Delete from the same menu.
Where these names appear in lead intake
Fence type names from your service setup are used as selectable options when your team captures lead details. This helps keep lead records consistent from first enquiry through quoting and delivery planning.
Use names that are clear to everyone who handles enquiries, site checks, estimating, and scheduling so handovers stay smooth across the full workflow.
Good operating habits for service naming
- Keep names short and specific, such as the exact fence style sold by your team.
- Use one preferred label per service type to avoid duplicate wording.
- Review the list after pricing or product range changes.
- Do a quick lead entry check after updates so staff can confirm the revised options are easy to select.
